FaceTime Communications Names Tim Conley CFO
Newly Appointed Chief Financial Officer Brings Background in Network Security, IPOs, and Start-Ups to FaceTime's Executive Team
BELMONT, Calif - January 12, 2010 - FaceTime Communications (www.facetime.com), the leading provider
of solutions enabling the safe use of Web 2.0 and Unified Communications in the enterprise, today announced
the appointment of Tim Conley as Chief Financial Officer. Tim brings extensive strategic and tactical
financial management experience to the FaceTime executive team gained during more than 25 years as CFO
for both private and publicly owned technology companies. He has provided the financial leadership that
resulted in successful initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers, acquisitions and various other strategic activities.
Prior to joining FaceTime, Tim was the CFO of Tumbleweed Communications, a public company (now Axway), which specialized
in secure e-mail and file transfer technology for enterprise and government networks. Previously he
was Vice President of Finance and CFO of Valicert Inc., a technology company specializing in secure
Internet communications and identity validation software for file transfer, financial messaging, and
business process integration. Tim was instrumental in taking Valicert public, the company was then acquired by Tumbleweed in 2003.
"We are very fortunate to be able to add Tim's extensive financial and business expertise to the FaceTime
executive team," said Kailash Ambwani,
President and CEO of FaceTime. "Tim brings experience from both
start-ups and public companies, and the journey between the two. He understands issues surrounding compliance
and regulation such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the pressures of international operations – concerns that
our customers face when dealing with how to control and monitor unified communications and Web 2.0 applications
within their networks."
"It's a great opportunity to be joining a company that is at the centre of enabling enterprises to securely
take advantage of Web 2.0 communications," stated Tim Conley. "The convergence between public communications
such as social networks and micro blogging, with corporate based UC systems is one of the most exciting
developments in communications in years and I'm looking forward to being a part of it with FaceTime."
Tim is a certified public accountant and worked with technology companies while at Price Waterhouse
where he was an audit manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting
emphasis, from the University of Wisconsin, Superior.
