FaceTime Offers America Online's AIM Enterprise Gateway Customers Free Migration to FaceTime Solutions
FaceTime Provides the Industry's Only Solution Ensuring Complete Regulatory Compliance for Multi-network, Heterogeneous IM Environments
FOSTER CITY, Calif. - June 22, 2004 - FaceTime Communications, the leading provider of solutions that secure, manage, and extend instant messaging (IM) and other forms of real-time communications, today announced it is offering AIM Enterprise Gateway (AIM-EG) customers and all AOL-certified IM management vendor customers, free migration to
IMAuditor™. FaceTime is also offering free technical support for all AIM-EG customers, resellers or partners to protect existing enterprise IM investments and mitigate the need for immediate migration.
"These customers originally selected AIM Enterprise Gateway, because of the proven FaceTime technology powering the product," said FaceTime Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Christopher Dean. "Now that AOL has decided to end-of-life its enterprise IM offering, FaceTime wants to ensure that these valued IM users are transitioned to a complete solution for the safe use of IM in the workplace. FaceTime and AOL's relationship continues to grow and expand in a number of exciting areas." (Note upcoming RT Matrix announcement.)
FaceTime will continue to support AIM-EG customers, and when these customers are ready, FaceTime ensures the easiest upgrade path due to the shared technology base in the AIM-EG product.
FaceTime will offer AIM-EG and other customers of AOL-Certified vendors:
- Free upgrade to IMAuditor
- Free technical support for ease of transition
- Free license to FaceTime's upcoming RT Matrix embedded APIs and SDKs to extend multi-network IM and presence capabilities
- Preferred pricing on RTG500, FaceTime's solution for ensuring IM application behavior management
