FaceTime Communications Introduces First Management Solution for Secure
Mobile-to-Mobile Wireless Instant Messaging in the Enterprise
Adds Reseller Channel to Partnership Program with Leading Wireless Device
Reseller
ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 8, 2002 -- Furthering its leadership position as the premier
provider of network-independent, enterprise solutions for the management and
control of instant messaging (IM), FaceTime Communications today introduced its
award-winning IMAuditor application for the management, control and
interoperability of any enterprise-wired or wireless device, with public and
private IM networks.
The industry-first wireless IM solution from FaceTime bridges all wireless
networks and supports thin clients for all major wireless devices, including:
Palm III, V, VII, Visor, RIM and CE devices for secure, mobile-to-mobile
wireless IM. As part of its wireless initiative, FaceTime has expanded its
strategic partnership program to make its industry-leading IM solutions
available through reseller channels.
The FaceTime partnership program, which already boasts strategic alliances with
leading application and technology providers such as AOL, Microsoft, IBM,
Reuters, Yahoo!, Assentor, KVS and Zantaz, provides FaceTime customers with
best-of-breed, comprehensive workflow solutions for enterprise administration,
management and control of business-critical IM and email communications.
NuTech Software Solutions Inc., a New York City-based supplier of RIM wireless
devices and specialists in Microsoft database integration, security and
e-commerce applications, has joined FaceTime's partner program to resell the
FaceTime IMAuditor solution to financial services customers that require
compliance with government and industry regulations as well as the ability to
control access, manage and interoperate using any wired or wireless device with
public and private IM networks.
"FaceTime's historical leadership innovating the IM space and particularly in
the financial services industry with over 100 enterprise customers and 35
leading financial services firms made them the ideal partner for NuTech," said
Bill Silver, CEO, NuTech Software Solutions. "The FaceTime
IMAuditor solution
has clearly become the standard IM management, control and regulatory
compliance solution; and together with our other partner solutions from
Microsoft and KVS, we can now offer our customers a complete IM workflow
solution for both wireless and wireline IM communications."
The FaceTime IMAuditor server solution is installed behind corporate firewalls
and features IT administrative controls that extend the IM networks -- both
private and public -- and enables customers to control access, manage and
interoperate with all IM networks with such features as capturing, recording,
and reporting conversations on multiple IM networks and devices wired or
wireless for use within the enterprise. On-line identity management and IM
screen name mapping to enterprise directories enable organizations to authorize
employees to continue using the popular public instant messaging networks, such
as AOL, Microsoft and Yahoo!, for real-time communications, while ensuring
administrative controls are in place for customers that need to comply with
government and industry regulations.
"FaceTime believes in tiered distribution with proven leaders. We are delighted
that such a successful technology reseller as NuTech will resell our
industry-leading solution to its customers," said Glen Vondrick, president and
CEO of FaceTime. "Our vision of extending the global public IM networks as
enterprise quality solutions has transformed this industry. Until now, the
increasing proliferation of wireless devices and wireless instant messaging
communication has been outside the scope for most enterprises to manage, log
and audit. FaceTime has a long history of industry 'firsts,' and our
announcement today with the immediate availability of support for secure,
mobile-to-mobile wireless IM communications builds on this momentum. NuTech's
leadership in reselling wireless devices makes them a natural choice for
reselling FaceTime's award-winning IM solutions."
